CORTISOL LEVELS AND YOUR HEALTH

Over the last couple of years, I've been very interested in the intertwining of the physical and emotional components of the whole human being and in particular in managing stress levels. This is largely in part to do with me predominantly being a shift worker for the past 6 years and seeing the effects it has had on my physical and mental health. I've found some really good resources, but in particular from Dr Tara Swart, who was a psychiatrist but is now a neuroscientist who works in mental resilience and peak brain performance. Another goodie to check out - Dr Gabor Mate who talks about carers, stress and illness.
